![]() We're left in the dark with some vague notion that DLC will come out at some point that adds content, but we don't exactly know what there is to offer. Bungie keeps harping this "it'll never be perfect" line, followed by "we'll change stuff all the time", but they never come out to say what those changes are. Some list of priorities for changes to the game and a general timeline for those changes. It's time to look at it more closely and pinpoint what's wrong with its design. We make suggestions continuously, and though we are entitled nothing, we want to see acknowledgment of the game's failings and a roadmap for improvement. We play this game - we visit this theme park - and we see the issues for what they are. Beyond that, you could replace the Tower with a lobby menu and it would function exactly the same. There's nothing compelling about the Cryptarch himself, other than the anthropomorphic RNG he represents. It moves around and characters talk a bit, but there's no usefulness to any of it. In fact, everything in the Tower is just for show. The wall itself isn't interactive and doesn't show any real guns that anyone could buy, either: it's just for show. That's some kind of a valid point, I guess? But, when the hell has anyone seriously stood by the Gunsmith looking for a gun to buy? What he offers isn't useful beyond a low level. When you pull a piece of iron from the rack and commit it to your arsenal, you embrace strengths and weaknesses that complement the way you fight. Each of the weapons on that wall is valuable in a special way. When you stand in front of the Gunsmith, you’re faced with choices. We like the place, sure, but we'd like more to do while we're there.Ĭompounding the main issues, by all means of communication we get from the park owners (Bungie), those owners seem to have a kind of warped idea of what it is the park really has to offer at the moment, or how people intend to utilize it. The whole game feels like a theme park where everyone likes to hang out, but there's only three rides and the food kinda sucks. ![]() Kinda wish there was something bigger to work towards in the PvE, or some variety outside the choice of shooting aliens or shooting people. ![]() I'm having a good time with it, too, at least for a little bit of time each day to do random shit. ![]()
